The Triple Spiral Ring is based on the design of a triskele, which is a common Celtic symbol but can also be found in other cultures. It is an important spiritual symbol, that can be dated back to ancient origins in Irish culture. This symbol specifically dates back to the Neolithic Era. The triple spiral is a representation of things occurring in threes. The triskele has many meanings, one of the most known is for its representation of the three worlds: celestial, physical and spiritual or that of the triad of Irish Gods: Daghda, Lugh, and Ogme.
