The Sacred Circle Ring is inspired by the ring forts that can be found, dotted around Ireland. There is some mystery as to what their exact purpose was, and this is perpetuated by the mythology that ring forts acted as a gateway to the otherworld of the fairies. This is why they are sometimes called fairy forts. Accounts of livestock going missing, along with other strange happenings has kept the supersitition of these forts very much alive to this day.
