This piece comes on a 15 inch black spinnel beaded, gold vermeil chain. It also has a 2 inch extender chain. The faceted beads sparkle beautifully as they catch the light.

The Gift to the Gods Necklace is based on a series of bronze scabbards that feature La Tène art. When burying their dead this ancient culture often placed things in the grave, likely to help the soul on its journey to the otherworld, and what also seems to be an attempt at appeasing the gods. It was a widespread custom to leave metal objects and other things with the dead, and archaeologists have called these 'gifts to the gods' among other things. The beaded rosary chain references the christian ritual of the rosary, another way of thanking and contacting God.
